To confirm eligibility, we collect the verification result from our identity partners (ID.me or SheerID) — this typically confirms your status (active duty, veteran, retiree, or family member) without us seeing your underlying documents. We also collect the email address you provide when joining the waitlist, and standard click/referral data when you follow a link to a retailer through Guidon.
We don't collect your Social Security number, DD-214, or other military records — that verification happens directly with ID.me or SheerID, not with us. We don't access your bank or card accounts.
We use your verified eligibility to show you accurate rates, your click activity to earn the referral commission that funds Guidon, and your email to notify you about access and updates. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We share the minimum data needed with our verification partners (to confirm eligibility) and with affiliate networks (to attribute a purchase to Guidon so we're paid). We do not share your data with retailers beyond what's needed to apply a rate.
