What's affected

Only pages that explicitly show deals, discounts, or partner offers. The loan check, the rating calculator, and the Learn articles contain no affiliate links, and the verdicts they give are never influenced by any partner.

What isn't

We won't recommend a lender, a financial product, or a service because it pays us. If a product is bad for service members, it doesn't appear here regardless of what it offers. That's the whole point of Guidon.

Networks we may use

Rakuten Advertising and similar affiliate networks. When you click a partner link, the network and the merchant may set cookies under their own policies. See our privacy page.

Why we do this

Commissions and, eventually, a paid tier are how Guidon stays independent instead of taking money from the companies it's supposed to protect you from.
