What Guidon is

Guidon provides educational tools and information for service members, veterans, and their families. It is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense, or any branch of the armed forces.

What Guidon is not

Nothing on this site is legal, financial, tax, or claims advice. The calculators produce estimates from published rules and rate tables. Your actual VA rating, compensation, and loan terms are determined by the VA, your lender, and the law, not by this site. Before acting on anything here, confirm it with your installation's legal or financial office, an accredited veterans service officer, or another qualified professional.

Accuracy

We work to keep the rules and rates current, but they change, and we can make mistakes. The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Guidon is not liable for any loss that results from relying on it.

Your use

Use the site for its intended purpose. Don't try to break it, scrape it, or use it to harm anyone. You may link to any page.

Content

The text, design, and tools on this site belong to Guidon. You may quote short passages with a link back. Government sources cited on the site are public domain.
